OXO and OXE hardware interchangeability

Is it possible to put OXO hardware in the OXE eg. SLI16's etc. I tried an AMIX 4/8/4 (4 UA/ 8 Analogue extensions/ 4 analogue lines) in an OXE but could not find the equivalent MG 4/8/4. I then attempted setting it as a MG 4/8 but this did not work. I am using R9 s/w on OXE. Is this considered wromg to even try this? Appreciated.

OXE support almost all OXO boards apart AMIX and VoiP subcards, CPU too. In some cases OXO CPU can be converted to GD/GA.

in some scenarios, OXO could decode CLIP (FSK) on APA, for OXE you need daughterboards.
Also you should only use Large (MR3) or Small (MR1) rack shelfs, not the Medium (MR2) one.
Don't know if dual UA adaptor (splitter for UAI for OXO) will work in OXE, never tried to use it.

You can use MR2 on OXE, too (you can declare that type of shelf). You just can't order it.

4099 won't do their job within OXE;
can also use CE - ain't nice but does it's job...
