This is concerning BICS 2.1

Question 1.

I have problem accessing the consol of the VMware machine from from my computer.
This problem seems to be since BICS were upgraded to VMware server 2.0.


I have done following.

- Downloaded the plug-in.

- Tried Firefox 3.5.
(I found out on internet that there been some problem with access VMware serve 2.0 from F3.6.)

- I found on VMware information page that the problem could be related to FQDN is not in the host. I have added the hostname of the server. No luck

- First time I tried access the server I download a plug-in. The plug-in has been reinstalled.
Same problem.

-I have tried another computer that is of the company domain and restrictions.
Same problem

-First time I tried connect I got an ActivX confirmation. But I can find it in.
I have gone through Tools/Manage Add-on. Can´t find it.

Any one else with the same problem?

Question 2.

I have turned on the remote desktop on the w2003 machine (management) and also a clearance in local firewall of the machine.
(In documentation it says remote desktop should work instantly, bad documentation)
When I have done this I can do RDC to the server. But I get access denied on the account k2admin and the account administrator. When I check the settings for “remote” on the host server is says that
k2admin and administrator account is OK for remote connection.
I have also check the account on the server. In the account information it says it is ok.
Anyone else with the same problem?

Question 3

When I try to do a restore document on a system with no machine backup
(chapter 7.3.3 administrator manual).
I follow the instruction documentation regarding putting in the license key for the w2003 server before the wizard.
The instruction is confusing. I ´t says I should open up the “activate license window” and then go to post factory and run setu.exe and then remove it. After I have done this the license windows is still open and nothing special happens. The license warning is still there and the “activate license window” is still open. Should something happen? Or should I just close the license register window?

Question 2. When I put an password on the account the Remote Desktop works fine.

whoa.. lot of issues...
For my part, if I login FROM the console of the linux box, very often the uptime goes so high that the console is not responsive anymore.
Also, if I login to both VM from the console, once I get the screen saver it is impossible to get out of it. Need to reboot the whole system.
