Hi All,
I have installed Auto Attendant (AA) on Alcatel OXO. Here is the call flow:
1. Greeting opening/closing hour => I recorded in English
2. AA Menu (Voice promt is also recorded in English), consist of:
Key 1: Transfer to group/subscriber => after I've pressed 1, it's transferred to the selected hunt group => I heard "Silakan tunggu..." (It's Indonesian language. In English we say "Please wait for a moment..."). I don't know what it called, then just lets call it 'voice guide'.
Key 2: ..., etc
3. Goodbye => I recorded this greeting in English.
Due to all the records I used is in English, how can I :
a. delete that 'voice guide'? -- OR --
b. change that default 'voice guide' that use Indonesian language INTO the default 'voice guide' that speak in English. -- OR --
c. Record my own 'voice guide', so I can use any language.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Guz

Hi Guz, you have to find that voice guide in Software Release folder. For example R710_052_007/DownloadingItems/vprmpt/us (for us english, la for latin america, etc). There you can see all voice guides downloaded to OXO when you made the software downloading. Then you can change all voice guides that you want (keeping original names) and make a software downloading with that modified software to OXO.
regards.

Thanks elkilwi,
I've tried using Software Downloading to upgrade the voice prompt default language as mentioned in manual guide to upgrade Alcatel OXO.
But, I have a problem in upgrading that system. The debug window said that files downloading items can't be found.
I have ever got this error when I install Alcatel OXO using LoLa. And the solution are adding IP parameter in 'regedit'(because I had more then one NIC on my laptop running LoLa); Putting the "Downloading Items" folder into LoLa system folder in the ProgramFiles; Setting r/w permission at 'Downloading Items' folder; Share 'Downloading Items' folder with w/r permission on shared network to this folder. Then everything worked properly.
Maybe I will take the similar actions for this problem just like installing procedure from the beginning. Have you ever experienced in this error problem, elkilwi?
Thanks,
Guz

Hi Guz, i've seen a similar error when the folder, wich contains software packages, was in a directory with a very large path. This was a windows error but i've seen it in debug window. Try to uncompress software packages in C:\ or something like that and try it again.

Hi elkiwi,
I've tried like what you suggest me, decompressing the zip file containing 'Downloading Items' to C:\ directory. But, it is the same. I got the same error like before.
I think procedure of installing OXO or upgrading OXO system is a simple procedure, but it always be complicated due to windows setting problem. But, it's just comment sharing, never mind about it.
Is there something else you have done that made you be successful at that time, elkiwi? Or maybe someone else wants to share your experience here? it will be my pleasure to hear you suggestion friends...
Thx n Rgds,
Guz

elkiwi, I used switch to communicate Alcatel OXO with my notebook. But, at that time, i realize that i have to join domain with the current network. But i didn't. I tried to use peer to peer communication between OXO and notebook using cross cable. The ping test was succeeded.
Is there any suggestion?
