Auto Attendent Issue

Hi,
This is Maaz from Pakistan. I am new to Alcatel. At the moment I am configuring Auto Attendent and Greetings in OmniPCX Office. I have worked in Nortel for 2 years and we have Call Pilot in Nortel Networks. After receiving an external call, Nortel gives you the option to dial 0 for attendant or dial any desired extension.
I have heard that in Alcatel, you can not dial any number then Attendent. It needs extra licenses. Please give me some details about this as I am new in Alcatel Lucent.

You must set the parameters AAGrDialng and AAGrtransf to 01 in Other Labels. Then you will be able to dial the extension number and dial 0 to operator during greeting message.

Hi,
just to complete the answer from MR_PT1
to change this value go to OMC/System Miscellaneous/Memory Read-Write/Other Labels
AAGrDialng Enables free dialling (internal extensions only) during AA company greeting.
00 Disabled
01 Enabled
AAGrTransf Enables the transfer to operator when dialling 0 or 9 during the AA company greeting.
Note: Only relevant if “AAGrDialng“ = 01
00 Disabled
01 Enabled

Thanks Maurice,
I have tried this but no use. I am unable to dial any extension or operator (zero dial) while the greeting is being played. Call gets disconnected right after the end of greeting. I think its license issue, can it be? Our system was purchased while a special Alcatel offer, I don't know the exact details as I am not much into sales things. When I try to upload greetings in OMC>Automated Attendent>Voice Prompt Greetings, it gives me license error.

Hi maaz,
You can check AA licence in Modification Typical / System / Software key label (details). Then, Call Facilities label, if you have AA licence the line Automated Attendant must be in Open State.

Hello, i have a problem. When i call from external line to the system OXO, i listen the OA menu, i select an option of the menu. If this option is redirecting to an specific extension and this extension is busy, the call is redirecting to the main menu of the OA. How i can redirect an external call to the mail voice of the extension when this extension is busy???????

Hi Ileana.
Probably that extension have a dynamic routing to voice mailbox hunting group and doesn't have a mailbox created. Just create a mailbox to that extension and click routing on busy checkbox on dynamic routing. Also you can make a diversion on busy extension.
Good luck!

Hello elkiwi..
i know that i can make a diversion on busy but the digital extensions (telephone 4019) show a message indicating the diversion.
I reviewed the configuration and the dynamic routing, I followed your recommendation and check the option: ROUTING ON BUSY but is the same result... nothing. Maybe can be any noteworthy addresses???

Hi ileana,
A costumer asked me about the same problem. Incoming calls passed by OA menu trying to call a extension and that extension has foward on busy to VM.
The situation was the same: If the call was not answered then it follow to VM but if the extension was busy the call was redirected to the OA main menu. So, I tried to solve that problem but I had no success. I tried noteworthy address but I didn't find anything about.
I hope you find a good solution for your costumer.
Regards!
