problem with set types

There is a problem i am facing at one of the customer sites.When i configure one of the users set type as 4010,i am getting a distorted dial tone while on the same port when i fix a 4004 handset and make related chages in the configuration everything is working fine.Can someone let me know what can be the problem.

may be problem with 4010 set? Bad connection in handset?

You have to try EVERYTHING with Alcatel:

Did you try with another set ?
Did you try another set on another port ?
Do you have the same trouble ?
Did you try to plug another regular analog phone (butset for example) instead of a 4010 in the jack ?

Hi,
The problem is resolved.I tried everything before doing a reboot.After the reboot the problem is resolved.Sometimes i doubt whether omniPCX enterprise is built on Linux or Microsoft operating system.Most the problems get resolved by restarting the system.
