mjohans wrote:Has anyone got MC-Lag to work using the Virtual SROS? I can get OSPF, MPLS to work and the MC-Lag is up, but the lag is standby in both machines. If I turn off the port between them, both go in active mode.
I've tried gns3 v1.2.3, as well as the virtual manager program using the xml files to build the links between them, no difference.
I haven't tried this myself, but the vRR-Install guide from ALU states the following;
Limitation
HA is not supported on the vRR or the integrated vSIM
MTU is capped to 8936
12.0 is currently limited to 4G memory
The following VM parameters can not be changed dynamically on a running vRR VM
o Change the number of vCPUs
o Change the CPU pinning configuration
o Change the amount of memory
o Add or remove a disk
o Add or remove an interface
Since MC-Lag is a HA feature, it might not be supported.
This is written for the 12.0 release. Releasenotes for 13.0 states no change for the vSIM environment.

Awesome!
Thank you.

I've installed the VM on GNS3 (Win7) - but can't ping between the machines. Any ideas? I see arp for about 5 seconds when I changed the mtu to 1514 - but apart from that I'm at a loss. ... and yes, I have changed the adaptor to e1000... but still no good

Thanks for the swift response, much appreciated. Could you possibly elaborate a bit more? When you say check the Virtual Interfaces are you referring to the network adapter settings - or is there something more fundamental that I'm missing?

Each VM guest has a virtual interface which is mapped to a virtual one on the Host. Are your guests pointing to same logical interface and have same IP address as the host virtual interface?

Shut down your routers, save project, then restart.
It works for me.

Has anybody managed to add a new disk to the system, for instance CF1?
Every time I have added a disk to the system, either the system refuses to boot as it interferes with current CF3 somehow, or its not seen by the SROS.
If anyone have done this, I would very much appreciate some XML
