access denied to inter-node-links
Re: access denied to inter-node-links
Dear Knight
I programmed this feature before and there is no license code as you said, I programmed hybrid link for internal pilot although
(15433 Local calls for OmniTouch No).
So, that mean there is no relation between code 15433 and hybrid link creation.
I am waiting for more efforts from you ....!

Re: access denied to inter-node-links
Problem could be in hardware.mao.
Actis should generate correct file if manager enabled local calls when ordered CCD.
Or you can do update manualy. Modify the hardware.mao file (/usr3/mao) to modify the
PARA_MAO 5 equal to 0.

Dear Mr Sherif - save your time and don't wait for me. If you say there is no license needed, then fine!sherif wrote:I am waiting for more efforts from you ....!
As far as I am aware, Local Calls for Omnitouch is a license that does what is says on the tin.
If you don't want a license, then your other option is to connect & program Back-2-Back T2 trunks etc..
I won't even bother asking other gurus to confirm this.

thanks for your (nice words), I really opened this case not to fight each other, but to learn from each other, I wanna get friends from here not enemies
the problem is not to fall in mistake but the problem is to insist on this mistake (no one is completely perfect).
again thank you for all your efforts.
finally I will check your reply (janisk) and i will update you with the news

Re: access denied to inter-node-links
It also really depends on what version you are working on....So the final answer is Knight is correct you DO need a software licence for tis to work i think it a cost of about .01 cents US....

"Be aware ask a stupid question without at least trying to find the answer first you may get a stupid answer....."
Re: access denied to inter-node-links
Dear all
may be you are right, it depent on what's version, because I programmed it before in R5.0 UX in 4400 not OXE and it didn't need license, may be in the new version R7.1 it will need, anyway I will check.
Thanks

Re: access denied to inter-node-links
OK - lets clarify this.
The feature to dial a Pilot internally was introduced in Rel4 Unix. In those days the Local Call for Omnitouch flag did not exist, but you still needed networking license (as I understand). After a while, they came out with this specific flag and now you specifically need "Local Calls for Omnitouch".
Before Rel4. the ONLY way was via Loopback PRA or BRA circuits.
There ends todays lesson
In future, it would be a good idea to state what version - right down to the static & dynamic patch. That almost always guarentees an accurate response... but then if someone thinks they know better, then it doesn't matter either way I suppose!

S4it! I saw Eliott post and panicked! For a minute I thought he was gonna post a message with a 'back door' for internal Pilot calls
