Upgrade to the latest r9.2 software and you must be running on a power cup! So it does use a sd card located on the bottom of the cpu. I have issues like this b4 and that fixed it

THanks again for all your help.

He pulled the board out with the PowerPC CPU and showed me the, what looked like an SD card, which i assumed was the flash memory that stored the software to run the system, it was quite near the RAM which looked like a reasonably standard SODIMM stick of memory usually found in laptops. Should have taken a photo of it but nevermind. Anyway updating the firmware to a newer revision as well as the OMNI PCX software which you need to read the new system seems to have done the trick so far... fingers crossed. We did a full backup of the DB, updated the firmware, then put the DB back and with a fe small changes it all seems to functioning the way its meant to. I still thing its a short term solution, I would be much happier with a full asterisk PBX where i can integrate all sorts of hardware and not have to pay for the hardware and licensing fees that alcatel require. We wanted a portable dect phone off site and were quoted 1700 dollars. Thats just insane. when i could connect a yealink w52p to an asterisk box for only 210 dollars.

Maybe buy SIP licenses on the OXO and use SIP hardware as you wish

The problem is that SIP only provides basic functionality. For instance we need to use the directory and to be able to transfer or park calls. Basic SIP licenses in alcatel do not provide this functionality. Therefore teh only option we have is to buy the alcatel equipment, which to my mind is ridiculously over priced.

Keith and cavagnaro the update to 9.2 did the trick. Everything is running perfectly. No calls are being dropped, no delayed response. Thanks both for your help!
