Voicemai Indicator light flashing but no message

Post by goofy »

Under Users extension number and Voicemail Directory Number, delete/remove the vmail pilot number and save/apply the changes.
Then re add/apply the Pilot number and save.
This will get rid of the Voicemail indicatior light

For callback issues there is a command callbstat so you can see the status of a phone. But unfourtunatly I don't know a command for resetting a callback call on the cpu.

The correct solution was already given by aurelian.
If you use the prefix 'Access Callback List' the callback action will be deleted.

Simply start mgr, consult sets port data (Shelf/Board/Port) and write it down.
Then set the address to 255/255/255 and apply it.
Now you restore the port settings to the set and all should be ok.

To find out why the lamp is on you can use a couple of tools

If it is a callback

(1)Test> callbstat d 2918
idx_rappel 1 for set 2918
---------------------------------------------------
zone : etat : nulog/numan/neqt Key: typ_rap
Adress of the area 1 : 0x12a15bac
1 BUSY 322 -1 RAPMOI
2 FREE
3 FREE
4 FREE
5 FREE
6 FREE
7 FREE
8 FREE
Message Led 1 Message is present 1
---------------------------------------------------
Note : neqt/nulog/nugroup/numan depends on the typ_rap data
: Be Careful neqt is used for CCBS_

RAPMOI means that it is a callback from nulog 322
To find out what xtn it is

(1)CA_cpuB> postlog 322 |grep numan
neqt=1198; numan [1..8] = 2547 nomannu[length=10] = USER Test

If it is a VPS voicemail message lamp
(2)Test> callbstat z idx 1
idx_rappel 1 for set 1234
---------------------------------------------------
zone : etat : nulog/numan/neqt Key: typ_rap
Adress of the area 1 : 0x12a15bac
1 BUSY 55 -1 VCM_VOC
2 FREE
3 FREE
4 FREE
5 FREE
6 FREE
7 FREE
Message Led 1 Message is present 1
---------------------------------------------------
Note : neqt/nulog/nugroup/numan depends on the typ_rap data
: Be Careful neqt is used for CCBS_
VCM_VOC means set from VPS - although it doesnt always show up and sometimes you have to use zdpost to see. I am not sure why this is though

For some VPS (tested with repartee) and 4635
(1)Test> zdpost d 2918 |grep Mail
Mailstatus.Voice.Number = 1 no of messages
Mailstatus.Voice.Age = 0
Mailstatus.Fax.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Fax.Age = 6
Mailstatus.Textnumber.Number = 0
Mailstatus.Textnumber.Age = 6
Mailstatus.Cabacknumber.Number = 0 no of callbacks
Mailstatus.Cabacknumber.Age = 6
Mailstatus.CNA_interne.Number = 0
Mailstatus.CNA_interne.Age = 6

To clear callback just virtual (255) it or user the consult callback list prefix for the xtn, for voicemail you have to go in and clear out the messages.
There is also a Local Features + Switch off Message LED prefix that can be useful
