So I have had a bit more of a play with the phone feature cos, currently we have a 4645 voice mail system on 6697, this is set as the voicemail dir. no on most users extensions, using Phone Features COS '0'. That COS has Rights Forward to external No. set to 1, 'Voice Mail Forwarding' set to 'Ring Called Set Mail', 'Default Overflow Type' set to 'No forward', 'Default Overflow Addressee' set to 'Nothing'.

From that COSI would expect the 4645 system not to be working but it is.

I have copied the COS to number 23 and applied it to my phone changed 'Default Overflow Type' set to 'Forward on busy and no answer', 'Default Overflow Addressee' set to 'Voice Mail'. Now when I call my number it diverts to the Exchange UM but I get the main menu for the number I am calling from not my voice mail. That is if I call from an Exchange UM enabled number I get their 'their name' please enter your password or press #. If I call from a non exchange enabled number I get the general main menu.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

I am trying to implement a similar configuration and I am having similar issues trying to to divert to external SIP voicemail. Did you resolve your problem yet?

I have a slightly different issue witht he UM integration.
I have teh Voicemail working except for the MWI integration.
When the Notify messages come in via the AudiOCodes M1KB SBC, the OXE resoponds with a "Bad Request".

Does anyone have any information on getting SIP servers to activate MWI via SIP and whether they need to register/subscribe to do this?

Cheers,

Eagle1

According to me , So i have fired up wireshark on the exchange box, using their VOIP capture tools I can capture the RTP traffic & sip sessions etc, decode and playback the audio for all calls made to the Exchange UM. For calls from my ip phone to the exchange um that have no audio on the ip phone I can capture and playback the audio fine using wireshark, so exchange is answering fine, sending the traffic back to the VX1200 box, so it could be an issue with the VX1200.
