So which is your problem? Wasn't that the purpose of this thread? What do you wnat to hear when you press ARS prefix? (try to detail what you are trying to achieve).

And in your opinion how can the PBX achieve that? How could the PBX know what trunk tone to pass to you before you chose a direction with ARS (dial a prefix defined in ARS)?
This is not possible. Only TG seizure can comply with that.

I hate to re-birth such an old thread... but I was wondering ..

-I have a client with a SIP trunk and OXO acting as the SIP gateway.
-I have subscribers dialling the '0' prefix to access external line, which in this case points to the ARS table
-After pressing '0' as above, the ARS tone they hear is the same as the internal dial tone (i.e. a solid Alcatel tone)

-Is it possible to change the tone subscribers hear after pressing '0' (in previous step) to something resembling a stuttered 'dial tone' ?
I've been told that the Internal Alcatel dial tone and the ARS tone are they same tone, and changing one will change both.. not sure about this

Before messing around with the client system, I have tried modifying the offset Numeric Address (as clearly outlined earlier in this thread) on my test system running R6.1, and the ARS tone does not change. Is this actually do-able on the OXO, or am I wasting my time on this?

Does anyone have a list of all the country dependant tones? The Noteworthy list from BPWS only gives three examples (France/Germany/US)

Frequencies and the values used for a given frequency is country dependant. Example:
 For France: Frequency Value used in I_Tones
FREQ_50Hz 00
FREQ_330Hz_13db 01
FREQ_440Hz_16db 02
FREQ_330Hz 03
FREQ_4TH 04 / used for class management /
FREQ_2100Hz_13db 05
 For Germany: Frequency Value used in I_Tones
FREQ_50Hz 00
FREQ_400Hz_425db 01
FREQ_425Hz_4db 02
FREQ_425Hz_9db 03
FREQ_4TH 04 / used for class management /
FREQ_2100Hz_13db 05
 For US: Frequency Value used in I_Tones
350/440 Hz -16,5db 01
480/620 Hz -21db 02
440/480 Hz -16db 03
440/620 Hz -14db 04
440 Hz -33db 05 (*)
* 05 is the default value: the audio level is very low. For a higher level, use value "04" for instance.
