PowerCPU EE and SIP one way comms

Post by AndyK »

Hi All

Trust everyone is well?

I would just like to confirm if anyone is having the same problem as myself whereby I have a few clients that have upgraded their systems with the newer PowerCPU EE loaded with the latest software 102.039

If I downgrade the system to release 101.xxx there is 2 way comms between sites that have been configured with SIP.... (but then the metering portion doesn't work as this was resolved with release 102.034)

If I however upgrade the system to the latest release 102.039 then for some reason there is only one way Dialling (NOT ONE WAY SPEECH), but only one branch can dial the other... the branch that cant dial simply gives an immediate engaged tone.

as a test I installed a Loan PowerCPU (NOT THE EE Version)... with the latest release software and loaded the clients database and voila... all works fine both ways.

Any Ideas
I am having this issue with multiple clients at the moment... Just seems to be on the PowerCPU EE's

Thanks
Regards
Andy

sorry guys!!..... correction

the clients are using H323 as a means of communication between the branches.
I would have them change to SIP but they have multiple branches and not all are using Alcatel PBX's... so changing them poses some issues as the 3rd parties aren't really very compliant

Dear AndyK
I have similiar troubles. I could find the only solution is to change release to R10.1
R10.1 and R10.2 different versions and they have their own patches and corrections. For example 'OXO metering issue' is solved in R10.1 with patch R101/046.001. Equivalent patch in R10.2 is R102/031.001.
Your powerCPU / powerCPU EE test is strange.

Dear AndyK
I tested and I am sure that 102.039 and very very new 102.040 doesn't work in H.323 environment. It is NOT related with cpu type. I mean, powerCPU or powerCPU EE.
I recommend look at this tread viewtopic.php?f=318&t=25896
