action shutdown storm control
Re: action shutdown storm control
At 6450 there is only limiting the BC traffic - no action like port shutdown. But in most cases it is enough to config rate limit for example 500pps.

Re: action shutdown storm control
What do you mean? I didn't understand.
With the limit you configure that only f.e. 500 BC pps can pass the port (incoming). All other packets will drop. So there will a BC storm not harm your network.

Re: action shutdown storm control
Thanks for answering
I have another question when I use a LACP, and I want to put a% dropee broadcast packets what I do in the logic of the LACP interface, or must do in each of the interfaces that make it up ??
Thanks and regards
in 6450 it does not allow me to select the id of the LACP.

Re: action shutdown storm control
in my knowledge: flood rate per port
Also if you would like to drop BC via a policy: you have only possibility a condition with destination port (not lacp). By default BC traffic in LACP will be sent over the primary port only.
