Hi guys
We have a customer with about 30 PCS controlled from a central node. Initially only one site has Automated Attendant but now all the sites require it. The problem is that on the Automated Attendant Access creation, it can have only 8 access. Does this mean that out of 30 sites, only 8 can have automated attendant as every site will have a different message in the day and night mode.
Also the customer has a 4635 at the the main site. Would this help us.
Maximum Number of Automated Attendant Access
Re: Maximum Number of Automated Attendant Access
8 access means max of 8 simultanous access , may you had to add more licence for that , 4635 can help also
Re: Maximum Number of Automated Attendant Access
hi, yes this is a major limitation on the AA however do your sites have separate trunk groups?
if so then you could try this
in the trunk group 1 set calling rights 0
trunk group 2 set calling rights to 1
in AA access lets say AA1. set calling right 0 tree 1, calling right 1 tree 2
now when a call comes in to AA1 from tg 1 the call is directed as per tree 1 and a call coming from tg 2 is sent to tree 2.
this means you only use 1 AA access but can have 30 trunk groups doing different behavior.
hope that helps.

Maximum Number of Automated Attendant Access
What has a PCS to do with the IAA channels?
Re: Maximum Number of Automated Attendant Access
I think he was just describing the topology.
30 remote sites each with PCS in case of network outage.
by using the IAA even in network outage it will still work but if he uses 4645 as per haroun's suggestion then the 4645AA may not be reachable.
in sites with centralized trunks at the main site 4645 would be a great option.
