4039 voicemail issue.
I am new to this forum. I am also the new IT guy for a small company. After setting up my office, I realized I do not have access to my voicemail. The old IT guy is too bitter to give us the passcode for the phone. What are the steps to access voicemail on this phone? I have looked at the user manual; however, the manuals I have looked at say I need the old passcode. I do not need access to his old voicemails, so a complete voicemail reset on the phone will work too. I apologize in advance, for I am not knowledge with phone systems nor office phone set.

What kind of system (OXo or OXE)? What kind of voice mail if OXE (4645 or 4635)?

I am not sure. how would I find out? I was told that verizon were the ones that set it up.

4645 is for common hardware (gray ones with a shelf of only 12 boards as max) and 4635 is for Crystal hardware (bigger chassis). Look at the Equipment pictures to know which one is yours.
Other way is to connect to OXE and see if you have the shelf 18 (config 18). If not, then you have 4635

Delete and create mailbox:
Logon to the OXO as Installer with OMC.
Find the user and click Details and then Mailbox. Delete the mailbox.
Click Mailbox agatin to re-create.
Password:
Alt. 1:
Log on to the OXO with OMC. Find the user and click Details. Click Password to reset.
Alt 2:
Use your 4039 phone and log on as Operator. Reset password for the user.
Logon to the OXO as Installer with OMC.
Find the user and click Details and then Mailbox. Delete the mailbox.
Click Mailbox agatin to re-create.

Log on to the OXO with OMC. Find the user and click Details. Click Password to reset.
Alt 2:
Use your 4039 phone and log on as Operator. Reset password for the user.
