Hi all, I have a problem with a CS-2, when I try to change it's IP adress with the command "netadmin" (tried even with netadmin -m) I dont get any errors by the CS but i cant ping it in any way...

running netadmin command and set it out like this:

I dont have so much experience with OXE, and i cant understand what's the problem. I followed the instructions given to me in the Alcatel-University but it seems not to work :(

Can someone help me out?

Can you ping yourself from the console?
(0)xa000000> ping 192.168.3.246

Hi I see something with security. Try to logon with root.

So first command su then the root pasword
then netadmin -m
Go into the security menu
Disable the security.
Apply modification and try again.

Have you tried rebooting the box?

hi, thanks to everyone, I cant ping myself from the console, and i tried to reboot the system, i can try disable security. I'll give it a try and let you know asap!

SOLVED! it was a security problem! finally i can ping the oxe system from my laptop =P I wonder why none in the university told us this little thing -.-" now I have to load license file etc... stay tuned!
