Hi everybody,
I've OXE R8.0-g1.302-5-c and IP Desktop Softphone 4068 1.0.2.4. In LAN softphone works perfectly. I wanted to connect this softphone via microsoft vpn connection. All ports and protocols are open. And problems started. After network analyses I see that:
1. Softphone is starting tftp connection on UDP port 32512
2. There is no tftp response from CPU. As result, softphone cannot download configuration.
There is no problem to establish telnet connection to CPU.
Did you have such problem? Do you have any idea how to solve it?
best regards,
Arek

I am not an expert on this but do you have a firewall at your remote location such as a wireless router with built in firewall etc? If so, this could be blocking the tftp process

I agree with knight, you have something that is blocking the ports, I use it on a MS VPN and no problem at all.

Re: Softphone 4068 via microsoft vpn connection
Informations from admin documentation.
In case of VPN users, check that all UDP ports used by My Phone IP Desktop are open in your
VPN configuration
Phone configuration (file download for configuration information)
TFTP Soft Phone 1024 to 65535/udp TFTP Server 69/udp 10000 to 10499/udp
Out going flow RTP Soft Phone 32514(BP**+2)/udp GD, GA,INT_IP A+B Dyn_Voice(*)/udp
Out going flow RTCP Soft Phone 32515(BP**+3)/udp GD, GA,INT_IP A+B Dyn_Voice(*)/udp
Incoming flow RTP Soft Phone 32514(BP**+2)/udp GD, GA,INT_IP A+B Dyn_Voice(*)/udp
Incoming flow RTCP Soft Phone 32515(BP**+3)/udp GD, GA,INT_IP A+B Dyn_Voice(*)/udp
Signaling flow UA Soft Phone 32512(BP**)/udp GD, GA,INT_IP A+B 32640(BP**+128)/udp
(*) This port range is only used to transport voice using RTP protocol and fax using T.38 protocol.
The lower bound rang is 32000 for OXE <= R5.0Lx and 32512 for OXE >= R5.1.
The upper bound range is 32255 for OXE <= R5.0Lx and 32767 for OXE >= R5.1.
(**) The Basic Port is retrieved from the OmniPCX at TFTP initialization step.
It works fine with MS VPN

Re: Softphone 4068 via microsoft vpn connection
I'm facing same problem with Check Point VPN Secure Remote. The network security admin said those ports are opened.
Ip Desktop Softphone 9.1.3
OXE R9.1 i160521
Any case or idea?
Regards!
