Hello there.
There is a new riddle for you !
We need to implement intra-node link in a node of 2 Shelf. This architecture is use to secure if the intra shelf link is down (we have a spatial duplication in this 2 shelfs).
The goal is to have an intra node link, by 2 ISDN acces E1 cards. Users of the shelf 1 could call users of the shelf 2 if the IP link is down. When the IP link is down between the 2 shelfs, the 2 callservers are master.
Today, we start to up the layer 2 of ISDN access. Its ok, the trunk is up. We can call shelf 1 or shelf 2 by using prefix and 2 trunks. The prefixs are like #98 for trunk n°98 and #99 for trunk n°99.
But, when we cut the IP link (we use a Cisco 1700 for lab), we can't call shelf 2 by using overflows private public. I think overflow is use for Inter-node, and not intra-node.
With my collegue, we don't know where to start, and the saler said this solution is Alcatel approbated (and i'm not sure about that)....

Re: Intra-Node Link
Some time ago I used private to public overflow in an architecture with a remote shelf with PCS. It worked very well. I see no reason why this shouldn't work in your case.
Re: Intra-Node Link
For tot3nkopf - for remote shelf with PCS was managed Node access prefix with own node number?

Re: Intra-Node Link
Yes. I think that was the config. I don't have remote access to that site (main site in Austria managed by other guys), but I have the DB. i will try to restore it on a VM and take a look.
What I do remember is that I did it as in the documentation and was pretty straighforward. (Private to Public Overflow between IP Media Gateways chapter). the single difference that I see in this config is related to your question (and i think this is ratified in the document).
