soft phone

Post by ybelal »

Hi,
I already have Alcatel IP Hard phones working within a VOICE VLAN
together with the omni pcx enterprise 7.1 and the PCs in a DATA VLAN.
Now I need to install Softphones on PCs; and since these PCs are in
the Data Vlan subnet, my question is How do my Softphones get
working with the omnipcx which is in a separate Voice Vlan subnet?
How qos will be managed?

Your response will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello,

Alcatel had IPT Vlan client before on Version 3.x of the IPTouch Softphones which is no longer available for the latest versions. Please see attached TC for VLAN and QoS for IPTouch Softphones.

do u ping from your pc to the pbx?if yes

under mtcl run the command lanpbxbuild

the tool will guide you to fix the configuration.just put the ip of the cpu and the ip of tftp server. the most of the times the cpu address is the same as the tftp.

i hope it works...
