Voicemail 4635: automatic detele voice messages after check-out

Post by bkct11 »

Dear all,
i have a question about Voice mail 4635 for hotel.
- our system use 4635 voicemail.
- current status: when check-out for guests, the voice messages in guest's mail box still exist.
- Does anyone can tell me how i configure the PABX and Voicemail system to make the system auto detele all voice messages after check-out for guests.

best regards!

This is not a normal behavior for hotel systems. Voice messages should have been deleted at check out.

Hi tot3nkopf,
sorry for some missing information, exactly is the guest's mail box with unconsult voice messages still exist and i remember i read Hospitality solution in Standard Offer document:

"2.10.4 Deferred Mailbox Deletion
The guests can review their messages after checkout time. This feature is active only when the mailbox contains new messages at checkout time. The extendable lifetime of a mailbox is a system parameter. When the next guest checks into the room, previous messages are deleted"

The messages are deleted when you check in the next guest. I have not found a way to erase the messages right after check out.

I will check this on one of my installed hotels. However at a first glance you can force guest not to check-out until they check their messages. Maybe this has an impact on deleting after check out. Worth testing. (mgr--->Applications--->Hotel-->Check-out if voice message-->false)
