Conf. the Automated Attendant

Post by ramiror »

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to config the AA for the OXO R7.1

When I put the VMU ports in the Attendant Group 1. Then I make a test and I get:

2 rings, then, responce the General Voice Mail.
(But If I press * I can listen the AA menu)

I try making an internal call to the HG 540 (VMU Ports), but I have the same problem.

How can I get the AA Menu w/o pressing the * (star)???

An othe question... How can I reduce the timer for AA default funcion?

Thanks a lot for your help!

Ramiro.-

I think you have to uncheck the "press star" option on the Automated attendant tab. And you can try to create a hunt group containing the VMU numbers. Then put it in the Attd Group List if you use Time Range method in handling incoming call. Or put it in the call distribution at each external trunk.

Problem solved!!!

Only I need to do is create a greeting message. And now when I call to the HG (vmu) I can hear the greeting and then the AAMenu.
Anyway, Ricardo thank you very much.

But, now I have 2 problems...

1) On the AA Menu Message I have 6 options and then the message said: ".. Or wait for a moment and you will be tranfered to the Operator.", but I listen 2 times the AA Menu message sound and then I transferred to the operator. (I use the AA default option here).
How can I listen only 1 time the message and then be transferred to the operator?? I need to use the default option or I have an other way???

2) On the outside, when I call to the campany I can listen the AAMenu, but I need to wait 3 rings before get the answer of the AA Menu. How can I reduce it for only 1 ring?
For get the responce of the AA Menu on the incoming calls I put the VMU Ports on the Attendant Group.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Sorry for my english..

Hello:

You have to go to VOICE PROCESSING/General Parameters/

1. For decreasing the answer time ( number of rings) of AA, decresae timer "Off hook delay" to 1.
2. For not having to listen again to the main menu change "Number of warning if no response" to 0.

Regards,

Chamizo.

Hi Ramiro

Question 1: go to voice processing --> general parameters --> set number of warnings if no response as 0.
Question 2: go to voice processing --> general parameters --> set off hook delay with the time you want.

When I make AA at the OXO I create a virtual terminal with dynamic routing to the hunting group with the voice mail ports. Then I put the calls to ring at this virtual terminal. It works very fine and I think it is the better way to configure AA.

Best regards.

Enio/Chamizo,

Thank you very much for the answers..

1) Solved
2) Solved

"I put the calls to ring at this virtual terminal"...
ens that you put in the List of access/Call-Dist -> Virtual terminal??

How can I create a Virtual Terminal in OXO? I need license for that?

Thanks,
Ramiro.-

Problem solved!!! Thanks MR.

On the trunk, I route to the virtual user (call-dist). And the virtual user has a diversion (inmediate forward) to HG VM.

Thanks a lot for all the people how answer this post.

Ramiro.-
