IP Phones stays in Recieving Mode after power down 4400

Post by André »

I've got a major problem by a customer. The customer had a total power down of the 4400. When the power was back on the system everything was working fine except the Ip Phone's.

When I'm starting up a phone I see step 1 and 2 after that is says for 1 second trying to connect and after that is stays in Receiving.

If i remove the mac adres of the phone in mgr and I restart the Ip phone it is goint to step 1 and 2 than trying to connect and that the voice guide says. Please type you phone number. If I do that following with the code. The phone is restarting. After restarting it is aggain getting stucked in Receiving.

If I'm looking in the incidents I see continu the folowing incidents every seccond is every phone generating a incident:

19/05/06 17:00:18 000002M|19/03/0/011|=3:0378=IP Phone sig incident 12,(0,8),00:80:9f:54:30:5b,412
19/05/06 17:00:18 000002M|19/03/0/021|=3:0378=IP Phone sig incident 12,(0,8),00:80:9f:55:00:fd,428
19/05/06 17:00:18 000002M|19/03/0/016|=3:0378=IP Phone sig incident 12,(0,8),00:80:9f:3d:83:b0,418

The explenation of it is:

Can somebody help me?

I've already reboot the cpu, installing a backup from the previous week. Install a phone with a static adres.
I've created a lanpbx.cfg file but that also didn't do the trick.
It is posible to open a telnet sesion te the phone and ping to the cpu an int-ip.

I'm out of clue's now.

Try clearing the mac address in your PBX, mgr/users/go down hyerarchy/tsc IP user/review user/ and clean ("" double quotes) in the mac address. See what happens. Also try deleting the user and recreating it.

I've already done that. When I removing the mac adress and i reset the phone then the voiceguide says. Please put your phone number. If I do that then the phone resets and I'm in the same situation aggain. I've also tried to creat a total new user but with the same result. Tomorrow mornig I'me going te replace the Int-IP but I don't think that will do the trick. The following option is to load the release to the unactive partion and do a version switch. If that stil not gone work I'm fucked.

Normally I would go to the bussiness partner website but My company has no agreement with Alcatel and I'm not certified.

Take a phone in mgr, remove the mac address, give a static IP to the phone, and try again ... then tell us if it still does it

Today I Finaly find the solution.

This morning I changed the INT-IP and the Daughterboard but still no results. After that I loaded release 6.2 to the unactive partition and did a version switch but still no result. After that I take a better look to the configuation. I saw that the phone's were in IP Domain 1 and the INT-IP in IP Domain 0. I deleted Domain 1 and rebuilded it. At that moment al phone's where getting back in service. Nut when I resetted one phone I get the same error.

After that I decided to deleted IP Domain 1 and put al the Phone in 0. This was the solution. I was really happy that we find it. So if you have a same problem as me check your IP Domain configuration.

Andre,

Someone HAD to do it.
An IP domain doesn't get created by itself, and the configuration do not change by itself .. :-)

You're right. Some colega's from a other compeny has changed the domain to get fax over ip working. Because the system was up the phone's didn't care about. After the reboot all was down and the ip phones won't come up. When I contact the guy from the other company he sayd O screw I think I forgot something. I was finking that something stuck becaude of the power down but in fact somebody else made a configuration fault. Anyway it is fixed and I had learned a lot from this.
