Voice Guides

Post by frank »

Hi all,

I have a funny question here..

A couple of months ago I installed a PBX.
I had to install the STANDARD VOICEGUIDES from a CD.
I also installed Music On Hold on the CPU6.

I could see my files in /usr7/flash/vg/custom for the music on hold, and /usr7/flash/vg/std for the voiceguices.

We did a patch installation.

The music on hold file (flashcpu6) is still here, but the other voiceguides are not. Any reason ? But we can still hear the lady on the phone :-)

Should I re-upload the VG ?

Thank you.

Hi Frank,

First of all congratulations for your Alcatel forum.
I think it is not necessary to re-upload the VGs on HDD because they are already on CPU flash memory.

I think you can restart the DSP on the CPU. Also what s/w version? There are some quirks about thes crazy VG's on CPU6

Hi Frank,
You must reload fg files. If file was deleted from HDD (still present in management and CPU flash) after shutdown you lost voice guides.

Hi there..

I did a shutdown on one CPU after the patch update, and a bascul on the other one.. The VG are still here, but I will feel more comfortable by reloading them...

I just came back from a 5.1 to a 5.1.2 upgrade.. The new OmniPCX INSTALLER RULES !!!!!
