Connecting to 4200E

Post by knuppel »

Our PBX is called KPN Vox Novo 10 and is exactly like this one:

I'm assuming it's a 4200E. I've figured out i have to use PCMMC, which i'm installing (R422_22.1).
Now it's asking me for a revisionnumber (R3.1, R3.2, etc.), which i don't know. I know this is important to not mess up the configuration.

According to the 4035 manual, i can request the pbx-softwareversion by pressing and the 'issue' button. But, all our phones only show icons instead of text, and seem to be locked in usermode somehow. Ofcourse no-one knows the password.

How can i find the software version?

This is going back a bit but you should be able to get the sw version by pressing the navigator key on a 4035 (the big one top left with the 4 triangles on it) to the right and then selecting the far right soft key, this will take you to the maintenance log in but one of the lines on the screen should show the version.

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around.
But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years.
