please help me for the configurations

Post by fiendish999 »

Hi,

I'm new to this technology and I'm currently self studying.
I have here 1 IP phone (4029) and 1 digital phone (4019)
connected to our OXO using OMC 610 6.1D. The phones will turned on when
the OXO starts up then after wards it will turned off. Problem is how will I
configure this so that I can use these phones? I can't find sample configuration in the manuals. Please advise!!!

thanks,

IP Phones are 4XX8 and Digital phones are 4XX9. So which exact model you have? for what you describe both are IP Phones and are not configured. While the phone is booting press i + # keys (i,#,i,#,...) and you will arrive to the IPTouch configuration menu.
Now go to IP Parameters and configure it as a normal PC, then on TFTP address put OXO ip address and thats it.
On OXO you will have to create an extension and register the set with that number.

Good luck

yeah I'm sorry they are all both digital phones (4029) and (4019). Follow-up question Sir, if for example just an example, My configuration is not perfectly configured in OXO i mean like there are some errors or I miss to input some values does the phone will still turn on permanently if I press i + # key while the phone is booting? what if after wards any seconds it will turned off again? what shall i do?

thanks,

The procedure I described was for IP Phones, digital phones only need to have the board declared on OXO correctly and then IPTouch (ip touch doesn't mean it is an IP Phone, it is just the series name) will boot. The extension number is another thing, however up to this point the board should provide energy and signal for the phone to work correctly. If the phone boots up and then resets inmediatly could mean a problem on the phone.

yes i have access to OXO via OMC.

Do you have the original key for the CPU?
I ask you because if you don`t have the right key, the pbx is running for 30 days an than it is shutting down and only the first ua port and only one b-channel is running.
You can see it in the omc: modification typical, system, software key.

Hi soenke,

Yeah, I think you're right because my software keys was change to a trial version 30 days. I have a DEMO keys & training keys but when i try to change the keys from trial version to a training keys the OXO won't accept my keys it says "the keys are invalid!!!" I dont understand why because before, I am using this keys but when some technical guy change the key into trial version I cant change it back to my original key!!! Why is it? do you have idea Sir Soenke? please advise.

thanks,
You must first restore the original keys of that CPU and then put again the keys for your lab. You have to do this every 30 days.

Regards.
