Post by gnuttisch »

Hello

I'm trying to connect remote to 4200D whit my modem.
It works fine to connect an office pbx but cannot connect to 4200D.

I have the PCMMC app. and trying to run Automatic Online Remote, then the phone number.

Please help, I don't now anything about the systems 4200

Best regards

By my knowledge 4200D has a DB9 adapter for serial configuration interface.
Did you connect on site to it?
Are you using the right PCMMC (that supports the 4200D sw release)?

I have set up an 4200D on my lab and can connect to it trough serial configuration.
On the site, I don't now. Because I haven't set up the pbx.

I can connect whit the PCMMC to the 4200D on my lab whit serial configuration but when i tries do dial in remote via ISDN it just ringing on the operator set.

The port XRA MMC has a DDI number and is in the Att. Group 8.

Thanks!

Why is it on Att Group?
Just use a DDI for it and remove it from ATT Group.

Why are you still installing 4200D? This PBX is at end of life from quite a while.

I have tried to connect it whit an DDI number on the XRA MMC port in the 4200D
I will now order an other modem and try that one.

I don't install any 4200D systems, but we have the support on some of them. Thats why I want to connect to them remote.

for remote login to 42xx systems we use a data adaptor in our (!) alcatel system. its connected my com1 port and the pcmmc dials over com1. you cannot dial with a analogue modem or so.
