R8 audit query

Hi,

Is every one OK with adding a R8 node to a R7 network and auditing data in to the new R8 node?

Or should this not be done?

Hi knightrider. If R8 is XL, it can not be done. If R8 is not XL, R7.1 should be f5.401.13 adn R7.0 f4.401.13 (doc info). I never test this but I believe you should not have any problem.... be sure you have a backup

Knight...yes it will work, broadcast may have an issue, but auditing and networking wont be issue......

OK, I tried auditing from Rel7 in to Rel 8 the Access categories & FAC Cats - No joy!

R7.0-f4.401-19-uk-c7 (node that I want the data from)
Version of node that I want the data bought in to g1.302.6.e

Is your Broadcast on in the rel 8 site??? also have you set up in the broadcast area for Access to be be able to broadcast

No - broadcast is disabled.

I was just using the audit tool to build up my new node. In training they suggest Broadcast is last thing to switch on once network is up & running!

So what you see in my previous post is result from running audit.

Yeah i understand that...but check under system/broadcast/objets and check what access catergories is set for????

OK what happens when you audit from 8 to 7??? and drag info from the rel 7 node?
