Hi all,
I did an upgrade on 2 nodes to a 6.1.1 , and I had 2 surprises:
1st: When I loaded the new OPS files, it took about 40 minutes before it worked
2nd: Netadmin now do not ask anymore for STANDBY ip address, but twice for MAIN.
Anyone had the same stuff ?
5.1.2 -> 6.1.1 (OPS)

Hi Frank:
1st. I believe that DB translation is automatically run after loading OPS files, that's why it took so long.
2d. Since 6.1 Each Call Server has two IP addresses:
A local IP address: this is the physical address of the Call Server
A main IP address: the Call Server only responds to this address when it plays the "main" role
When the two Call Servers are on the same IP subnetwork, a same main IP address can be used for the two Call Servers. As of R6.1, when the two Call Servers are on different IP subnetworks, each one is identified by its own main IP address
Thanks much,
Iouri

Iouri,
I talked with Alcatel and they talked to me about the 'spatial domain' or whatever the name was: The idea of stand-by cpu does not exist anymore, and we have only one main cpu now. (It's still here, but no IP).
Now, regarding the translation, anytime I used to do an upgrade once I upload the OPS it would take a COUPLE of minutes. I did another one yesterday night, and I had to wait 1h20 !!!!
Also, I think the translation is done when you first run the phone application, and you can see the number of changes, and what's being added in the database. Nothing of this yesterday.
If someone does an upgrade to 6.1.1, please let me know.
Thank you !
