6850-48 with very old firmware

Post by syned »

Hi folks,

I have an Omniswitch 6850-48 in private use only. It was a donation and I like to use it at home.

I cleared the configuration and I'm able to log in and did almost the basic configuration.
The firmware is very old.

I'm looking for firmware/Miniboot/Uboot updates but nowhere found. The 'netherland partner' doesnt present the binaries anymore and for upgrading the firmware, I search for some releases including 6.4.x Miniboot/Uboot etc.

Could someone help me with the needed binaries to upgrade to the last version?
greetings and thanks for your support.

Hi, I hate to bring this up from the dead but I'm in a similar boat and have no other options. Looking to just use the 6850-p24x at home but cannot locate AOS images/files anywhere. I understand companies protecting their products, but this is a way out EOL device where the only logical use would be in a private/non-commercial setting. I don't need the latest available so if anyone has any working AOS files, please reach out? The switch seems to have been wiped of everything except MiniBoot. I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thank you.

Some details in case anyone is actually reading this. Thank you again.

I'm not sure if you can look into /flash while you are in Miniboot. But look into /flash/working. If you find any .img files you could copy them via CLI to /flash/certified.

you can look for files https://support.alcadis.nl/support-per- ... nterprise/

maybe this thread could help: https://www.alcatelunleashed.com/viewtopic.php?t=4436
