Call several extensions if the call is not answered

Post by DjeSan »

Hello, I receive projects every day and today we were asked to configure an emergency station in an elevator,
so after calling a number that already exists in our 4440, if it doesn't pick up after 59s, the call is transferred to an external number and if it also doesn't pick up after 59s, another call is made to another external number.
How can I set this up? This project is due tomorrow at the end of the day.

Once the call leaves the PABX there is no control to pull it back, i dont believe this is possible

You can try in next way:
- manage external number as "remote extension" (cellular client).
- create hunt group with sequential search (internal number, after "remote extension".

I think you need licences for remote extension.

If external line with "answer" signal - no problem (was used with ISDN).

Hello, thank you for your answers
in fact the 7096 number is the reception number here is the scenario
- we launch the call on 7096 if no answer after 59s another call is launched to an external number if no answer after 59s another call is launched on a second number

So it's impossible to ask the pabx to launch a second call if the first one isn't picked up ?

nope the problem is not thecall to first external, indeed it can be made, the problem is the second external call without REX or specific signal from your provider forget about it
