AP1201 cluster and the DHCP service

Hello,

I would like to see with you a problem I have with two clustered AP1201s (version 4.0.2.21).

I have activated a DHCP service on the PVM terminal but if I simulate a failure of the master terminal (PVM), the DHCP service is not taken over by the SVM terminal (which then becomes master). What should I do so that the DHCP service is maintained in the event of loss of the PVM terminal?

Network services are not backed up today in express architecture. Which means that if AP with DHCP service is down ( can be any AP, not just PVM), there will be no automatic backup.
What you can do instead is to run the DHCP service for the same VLAN on two APs, and use different IP ranges that do not overlap. In this way you will have two DHCP servers for the same VLAN in Active-Active mode.
