eZ32-2 Phones Not Ringing

Hi all,

We replaced an existing eZ32 card with an eZ32-2. The issue we are having is that phones are not ringing on incoming calls even from internal Ext numbers. If I call the Ext, the phone doesn't ring but if I pickup the handset I will still answer the call and have normal speech. Tried another card but still had same issue.

Can anyone help please maybe it is a parameter problem?

Is this on all the phones on this new board?

Hi frank. Yes, it happens on all of them even if I connect my phone directly on MDF (eliminating wall port). We replaced other eZ32 with eZ32-2 on other PABXs but never had this issue.

Hello ,

Do you have an other ez32 or ez32-2 on your system or this is the only card?
If you have , the problem appears also to the other cards with the same analog sets and was working before?
did you change board type from ez32 to ez32-2 ? your system has the binaries ?

if yes maybe a reboot will fix it ,if not maybe the analog terminals you connecting the impedance is strange and you need to adjust the ring candence ?

when you measure voltage while ringing with a multimeter any change on the volts?

check your incvisu for alarm on another eZ32-2 cards, I've the same prblem for a few years ago, an eZ32-2 (for example on slot 0-3) have an alarm and because of it another eZ32-2 (for example on 0-10) not Ringing, when I change that faulty card, problem solved

Hi Konstantinos.E,

This is the first eZ32-2 card being installed on this PABX and happens only on the Ext numbers attached to it. If I replace back the old eZ32 card, all comes back to normal and yes, the type of card is being changed under the Boards section in MGR. The issue happens also if I change card slots on the Shelf. I tested the new card on another PABX and worked fine so it must be something from the hardware side.

I will take your advice and check voltage.

You need a different licence when using a eZ or eUA board these are migrated users in the OPS files
