telnet login failed

am new on alcatel 4400 and i realy like to get some help from this best forum
today i try to connect from my computer to alcatel 4400 using rj-45 cable and telnet
on cmd i writ telnet 192.x.x.x (ip adresse),it show me that i have to put login detailles "login+password'',when i writ the default acces ''login:mtcl,password; ) this message apear ;descripteur non valid login failed
can anybody please help me to solve the probleme
