4028 IP touch and CyberData 011186

Post by Ryan_-_-_-_ »

Hi, I am new to IP phones and am trying to configure a system with a Cyberdata SIP intercom 011186 for point to point calling to an Alcatel 4028 IP touch. I have configured a static IP address on the 4028 and let the intercom get its IP via DHCP. Both are on the same VLAN and I can ping both. I have tested the function of the 4028 and I have set up the intercom via the web GUI as per the manufacturers instructions. Has anyone had any experience in setting up point to point on a 4028? I have been told by the intercom manufacturers that according to the fault log it is trying to make a call to the IP of the 4028 at port 5600 but for some reason the phone has port closed. Every request or invite sent from the intercom to port 5600 is blocked by the phone.
This really doesn't mean a lot to me. any help would be greatly received.

We have a PBx server in place. I have tried accessing the 4028 setting and setting a static IP address and change the port 5600 (i think it was the TP port) but this still didn't work.
