ovclient fails to start

Running version 4.2.2.R01 MR-2 Build 115 patch 2. Upgraded from 4.2.1 yesterday and now ovclient fails to start. have rebooted several times including a full power down. ovclient always stays at "starting". Any suggestions?

I'd take a snapshot and try to upgrade to 4.3R1 .. If there are no error messages, it is hard to tell what is going wrong.
You should also consider to open a Technical Support Request with ALE, so that some engineer can attempt to fix the issue for you.

Tried to update to 4.3 but I keep getting error "Please Check the connectivity or your repository configuration" Repository is set to ALE Central Repo. Also tried restoring from sundays backup and it too is not starting the ovclient. So now I am back on version 4.2.2 Build 115 Patch 0 (typo on my original message saying it was 4.2.1. I have also created a TAC case but as of this message it is still pending.

To resolve the issue that you describe, set a new "Custom Repository" (an entry that you didn't use before) and apply the following values

Repository Name: MyALECentralRepository
Repository URL host: ovrepo.fluentnetworking.com
Repository URL location: ov

You should upgrade from Build 115 Patch 2 though.

Hi Benny,

Thanks for your reply however it did not work. Still get "Please check the connectivity or your repository configuration". Connectivity is good I can open Advance mode and ping google's DNS so I know it is able to access the outside world.

This helped in every single ticket that I've seen. Did you also activate that repository? Did you use a new entry to set this repository or re-used a previous one?

Yes the new repository was active and yes it was a new custom not a reused old one.

Same problem here - setup a new repository, enabled it and still no success.....
