Hi all,
I have a Alcatel OXE with 4018 handsets. I want to restrict certain users ability to call international numbers by having them enter a PIN code first.
I have read a post on these boards about set substitution, which seems to be what I need to do. Would somebody be able to talk me through the process of setting this up?
Thanks
Mark
Restrict International Calls by Pin Code

Re: Restrict International Calls by Pin Code
On each user create them their PIN.
On translator/prefix create a Prefix = Personal Trunk Group Seizure. This will force them to write their PIN before going out.
One restriction of PIN is that you can't transfer the call unless you do a substitution as you read
(finally someone that reads before ask).
Remember that the call restriction will be now ruled by Private Access Category now, so make sure you configure it right.

Re: Restrict International Calls by Pin Code
Hello Mark,
On the main page of this board, you have a link for the system documentation... Download it first.
This is basically what you have to do. I'm going to explain it to you, and you should find the "how to do it" in the documentation.
Create a numbering discriminator with the prefix you want to manage (011 for international, for example, in the USA)
Assign it to area 1 for example.
Create 2 users, one that can dial international, and one that can't dial it without pin
User that can dial international will be in public class of service 2 for example
User that can't dial international will be in public class of service 3 for example
Under class of service, access, public, allow class of service 2 to dial public area 1 -this is an example-
Under class of service, access, public, DISALLOW class of service 3 to dial area 1
Under class of service, access, PRIVATE, allow class of service 3 do dial area 1
Now, create a prefix as PRIVATE TRUNK GROUP , and you're good to go
