AOS Release Versions vs. MIB file compatibility matrix

It seems like that for a single device running different AOS release versions e.g. AOS8 R6.3 vs. AOS8 R6.4 there is the need to consider different MIB files. In the first place I was just aware of the need to consider different MIB files for different AOS versions e.g. AOS7 vs. AOS8.
It is not obvious to me what AOS Release versions are compatible with which MIB files.
Is there some compatibility matrix between AOS release versions and MIB files?
I assume, that the AOS release versions with corresponding MIB files are applicable for all devices of a series then. Is this correct?
