BITS interface Impedance

Post by fando2000 »

Hi guys , I receive this question from a costumer regarding the BITS port on a SR 7750 SR-7 and Sr-a8.

"Could you check BITS port impedance? Do we have 120/75 Ohm configurable or it is fixed impedance?"

Haven`t fund any documentation for this ..If you have some info it will be much appreciated .

Thank you ,

I would have thought the RJ48C BITS port is 120 ohm and if you wanted 75 ohm, you'd need to use a balun.

If you look at the output of "tree flat detail | match if-timing" I don't think you'll see any configuration to change the impedance.

You should use STP (shielded twisted pair) rather than UTP cable.
