We have a Alcatel PBX R9.1 OXE with 3 callservers (Main) and 5 passive call servers. In case of network isolation PCS will take over the remote media gateway. But the PCS will be active only for 30 days and after it becomes deactivated. If we restore the network connectivity after 30 days whether the PCS itself connects to main server or we need to follow a separate procedure ? TIA.
In my point of view, the deactivated software must be reinstall, or you have to change the HDD with a fresh release. I had a same situation, but i succesfully restored the connection within 30 days. The remote media gateway maybe find its controller, and will work fine.
the license counter is inside the pcscopy-database. so i think it will be renewed when the connection is back and the pcscopy is done. if not try to make an empty database on the pcs and after this a pcscopy.
