Hello
I have tried to search this and could not find anything exact. To change a digital handset type to IP Touch, I have always proceeded by deleting digital handsets first and then re-use the directory number to create an IP touch. Is this the only way to acheive this change or is there an easier method? I have tried 255 all the addresses in the digital phone but still could not change it just by changing the handset type.
Could anyone shine some light for me or guide me to a relevant post.
cheers!

It is the best method, otherwise sometimes the DB will have issues.

Re: Changing digital handset to IP Touch
Not possible other way by my knowledge. May be wrong however.
Re: Changing digital handset to IP Touch
Hi, I have found the way to change them is to set change the digital phone to a 4004 (or 4010 I think) with 255 address, then change the phone to a 4018 then other type if you want. the reason I do it is if the user has mailbox it is not destroyed and you won't loose messages. Try it and see if this is what you need.
