Hello
I am having an issue with voice not being transmitted when 8018 IP phones being used.
System version is OXE R11.2.2-l2.300-32-a in hotel mode.
It likes like there is a bug with the 8018 phones. Here is what I checked.
Phone A and B -8018, Phone C - Analog, Phone D - 8038 IP, Phone E - 4038 IP. All on same level 2 switch - no VLAN etc.
1. installed two 8018 phones on the system, phone A and B. When you call B from A, set B rings. When you pickup...no voice. Caller name is displayed and timer starts.
2. Installed Analog test phone on OXE, phone C. When you call A or B from C, phone rings. When you pick up, no voice. Caller name and timer OK.
3. Installed 8038 phone, phone D. When you call A or B from D, result same as 1 and 2 above.
However, If you call C from D, phone rings and voice present. Same vice versa...so 8038/Analog works.
4. Installed a spare 4038 we had in stock, phone E. Calling A and B does not work from E.
However, if you call C or D from E, success.
Summary: 8038, Analog and 4038 phone between themselves work fine. Its only when you communicate to/from 8018 that there is no voice.
One last test I did. Used a 8018 to call voicemail and leave a message for 8038 phone. Message recorded and read from 8038 correctly. So 8018 transmitting to voicemail OK.
The version l2.300-32-a is the latest patch available.
Any ideas please?
