No TFTP on 4038 sets

im trying to install new phones on an existing system

installed a new phone 4038 and got the following error

1) network start
2) network setup
3) config download…bad file content
4) ….
5) connection,…. no tftp response….check dot1x config….(,…. no tftp response….check dot1x config….)….


we unplugged a workoing 4038 and replaced with a new 4038 and got the message above

put the original phone back on the network and its up and running

tried 4 new phone on that conection and they all received the error above

what can i check

You use static IP address for phone (declare IP address, mask, TFTP address) or dynamic (DHCP)?

We use DHCP
the set does get an IP address

And your DHCP is also sending TFTP server address? Check maybe the VLAN? Another DHCP server? Maybe that working phone has static parameters and not DHCP

Check your lanpbx.cfg if you bot the error in 5/5
