Issue with name displayed

Post by RaFFpwnz »

Hi everyone!

I'm a little bit new in this forum and with Alcatel OXE administration, so i'll try to explain my problem the best way possible that i can

I have a problem with the name displayed on the phones registered in OXE(s) of my client when the call comes from an Avaya (External project and no administrated by my company). When the phones from AVAYA call to the phones from OXE, in this last ones it's displayed the phone number instead of the user's name.

I have the two servers connected by a Trunk SIP in a External Gateway, and The user's name its sended from AVAYA in the field "FROM".

The trunk group created is a T2 type with Q931 signal variant : ABC-F, (I tried with ISDN all countries also but it fixed nothing)

I tried to change the fields: P-Asserted-ID in Calling Number and Trusted P-Asserted-ID header from true to false, but nothing changed in the display presentation.

i hope that someone can help me to fix that.

So thank a lot from now to everybody!

regards.

Show us INVITES from Avaya, which OXE SW version you run.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Looks OK.
Check whether Phone facility category of OXE user has this parameter set to 1 "Calling name display (CNIP/I-CNAM) : 1"
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

Hi Alex,

EDITED.

When i changed this parameter from 0 to 1, and so AVAYA called me to my OXE phone, i just see in my phone the text "Incoming call" but nothing about number or name.

Do you think that i need change some parameter more?

Thank you!

P-Asserted-ID in Calling Number must be True.
After every change in SIP Ext Gateway you should restart sip-motor process.
Check this parameter /System/Other System Parameters/External Signaling Parameter/Calling Name Presentation: TRUE
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
