Power input for PCS Cabinet

Post by junoooni »

Hi Experts

I have an OXE with ACT cabinets... PCS is equipped with 4 x rectifiers... as per documentation, each rectifier is 1000W (18.5A)... On site I have power sockets with only 32Amps... since it is 3 x active rectifiers, does that mean my power input should be 64 Amps to handle 18.5x3 = 55.5Amps?

Power consumption f.e. for M3 cabinet (with up to two ACT-28 shelves) must not exceed 26,5 A. Why are you talking about 55,5 A?

Man what are talking about exactly?
About 220V AC power or 48V DC power?
Just do simple math:
1000W is the same (roughly) as 54Vx18.5A and 220Vx4.5A.
On AC you need only 4.5Ax3=13.5A for 3 rectifiers active.
If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.
