Hello All,
I have an AudioCodes MP-FXS112. I can get it to send faxes on my OXE, but i cannot receive faxes. Any idea of what settings i should look at? Sooooo many settings and it only takes one to hose it all up. Interop docs are like 10 years old so they are of no use to anybody.
yes. logs and traces please. also how you connect it (protocol sip/h323) and which oxe ip hardware is in use (crystal or common and generation3 or not).
and just for fun... wild answer... the reason for your problem must be between heaven and earth...
best regards...

Here is a *.ini file (actually a txt of the ini) of the configuration for the audiocodes sip gateway that shows the Codecs. I will try and run a SIP trace for some log information.
My PCX is Crystal on R11.1
I am using SIP to and T.38

As I understand - you have VoIP gateway and analogue FAX connected to VoIP gateway.
When you have incoming call:
- FAX will ring - caller hear RBT
- when FAX will answer - caller hear??? RBT, silence, fax tone ...?
Thanks for everyone's suggestions. I figured it out. So i was using G711A-law which allowed me to send faxes but would not allow me to receive them. So I changed the setting to G711U-law and i can now send and receive faxes. Guess it comes down to using the right Codecs with the PCX.
