Re: SNMPv3 with separated Priv and Auth Password?
Hi Rich, Thanks for the feedback. It turns out that I misread the documentation. As you emphasised it is clearly written in both documentations (CLI + SW) that SHA+AES works with or without FIPS enabled. If FIPS is enabled, it is just mandatory to use SHA-AES or SHA+3DES and the legacy SHA+DES and M...

Re: SNMPv3 with separated Priv and Auth Password?
Hi Rich, Did you read the documentation? The CLI Reference Guide for AOS 6.4.6.R01 mentions that for SHA+AES you'll need to enable the FIPS mode. Documentation "os_cli_646_revA.pdf" is what I'm reading. Chapter 41 (AAA), page 41-58 shows how to create a user with SHA+AES. Make sure that th...

Re: Socket - Slice Explanation
ACL/QOS policies occupy "slices" based upon their complexity. If you specify many complex policies, you'll have less total policies than specified in the documentation as you have no "slices" left. You can see "slices" as chip/hw resources, which are obviously not endle...

Re: Inter vlan routing
You obviously have to restore your configuration during the process, adding all the pieces that you really need (ip addresses, etc).firewall1981 wrote:Thanks Benny for your response!!!!!!

Re: Inter vlan routing
Looking at your configuration there are a couple of things that shouldn't be as they are ... Please don't use "spantree mode flat", especially not with STP You should probably update the AOS software to the latest release you can get from Alcatel-Lucent (current Maintenance Release) Start ...

Re: Mirroring 10G(SFP) to 1G
Most laptops will not be able to transport 10G through their "hot-plug" interfaces, hence you'll likely not find any adapters. The solution would be a professional test equipment (Fluke, Wild Packets, ...) that could help you with that (but as it is professional equipment, it comes with a ...

Re: Mirroring 10G(SFP) to 1G
You can mirror a 10G port to a 1G port, but you should not expect this to work fine whenever the bandwidth is above 1G.

You can always open a ticket with the Technical Support before, if in doubt.

Re: 6900 Active-Active configuration
Hi Naveen, The following article has all the details to create a VC (actually two in that case), just build one of the sides. After that you only need to create a link-aggregation which is a piece of cake if you just review the documentation. http://dokuwiki.alu4u.com/doku.php?id=english:omniswitch_...
