There seem to exist different hardware, i have seen boxes that store the files on a SD card.
No idea which file has the passwords however.

I would like to ask you if it's possible to recover or reset a lost installer password for old oxo releases (like in the old 4400/Oxe releases).

My idea was to prepare a second hdd for each customer.
So the cpus i use (cpu3s2, cpu6 and cpu7s2) belongs to me and i use them just to load the releases on the backup hdds.
At the end, each hdd is aimed to be connected to the respective cpu of each customer ...

I would like to install a full release 9.1 on this hard disk (so the R10.0 will be completely wiped from HDD) but I didn't find the right documentation for it.

You most likely deleted /tmpd , which has the soft_install folder in it.
Best would be to do a partition duplication (from other partition to this partition), or better if you have another CPU running the same version, that you did not touch, copy back the tmpd folder with right owners and right ...
