If not I am not sure if u can shutdown the path vt15-4.2.1.1 but you should be able to shutdown the E1 or whatever port is related for that particular path.

Try to check the MTU between the devices. If in Cisco the MTU Service MTU is 9100 in ALU you need to configure 9014. Always +14 in ALU because you need to add the Ethernet frame.

It would be good if you post more show commands also from ALU as well

Create an export policy with the prefixes that you want to export then apply the policy under the IGP or VPRN

2048 MB per each VM is fine for me. I run GNS3 with Mac OSX 10.9.5 Mavericks. So far I did not try Multicast but all the rest is working fine.
