A not fully 8 pin console cAble results in an reset.
especially an OXO Cable doesn't work with GD.

mirrored Cisco cables (blue) working perfekt (with a fully turned rj45)

First ...be Administrator !
Path of installation not in c:/program....directly in c:/ ...works fine...
Database also in a separate path ...like c:/OMC-Database/
... it should work then
