Disable LLDP on Alcatel phones

Hello,

Is there a way to disable the LLDP replies from the phones? I am using the
show lldp remote-system
command to view the topology, and replies from the phones (which are plenty) making it difficult.
This applies to any Alcatel switches and phones we are using.

Thanks,
M.S.

Ports don't come back up after reload

Hello,

After a worm reload of the 6900 two ports haven't come up (no lights); all others came up fine. After moving the SFP to another port everything worked.
I still have another port not functioning and would like to troubleshoot it to avoid the problem in the future; not sure where to start ...

Remote SSH

I am trying to enable the access to 6860E from a predefined IP address:
-- ssh enabled both service and admin-state;
-- policies in QOS configured;

I am getting login screen with the "No switch access allowed for SSH" error - where do I configure that?
Thanks,
M.S.

Re: Port mirroring on 6900

It could be the capturing, not the mirroring problem.
I use Wireshark on win 2019 (fresh install) and it might do with some security or VM issues...

Port mirroring on 6900

Hello,
I have a strange problem for a destination port receiving only the broadcast traffic, a.k.a. not working at all.

The command I use:
port-mirroring 1 destination 1/19 enable
port-mirroring 1 source 1/20 bidirectional enable
port-mirroring 1 enable

It works fine on the 8.3.1.160.R02 GA ...

Re: OS6850E is not passing traffic on a certain TCP port

You might be right about that; it's been out of support since 2016.
That stack is a part of the larger network uplinked to a 6900 core switch and there is a chance that blocking came from it (DDOS, flooding, etc) of which I couldn't find traces in there either.
I haven't tested the problem with a ...

Re: OS6850E is not passing traffic on a certain TCP port

Hi Silvio;

Here is the update of the 2 things I've done:
1. Created an isolated VLAN on the switch in question, connected to it both PAxton and laptop - no traffic on 10001, everything else is fine.
2. Rebooted all the switches involved (the topology is a bit more complex that I've described ...

Re: OS6850E is not passing traffic on a certain TCP port

Hi Silvio;

The switch is blocking TCP traffic to the TCP port 10001 - that's a Paxton door access device, which I call above a "server" - starting last Friday, so it does affect packets forwarding.

It's not the "server", because when I am connecting my laptop via cat5 w/POE injector directly to ...

OS6850E is not passing traffic on a certain TCP port

Hello;

I have a weird problem with connecting TCP traffic to a particular port (10001) on an OS6850E. I use telnet to create a session and if I am on the same wire the session is established.
If I am on any port of the switch - even of the same vlan - the handshake times out. I can make a ...
